Dear Faithful Parishioners,

On March 1st, 2022, the Ontario government officially implemented the next stage of the Ontario Reopening Plan.  Within this plan, physical distancing and capacity limits have been lifted.  Please note that masks or face coverings are still required.

In consideration of the Ontario Reopening plan, we will continue to focus on two things moving forward: 1. That our church remains open; 2. For our parishioners to feel safe.

To achieve the above, from Saturday, March 5th until Friday, March 11th, we will continue with physical distancing and assisting our parishioners in church. This will enable our parishioners to move through these reopening stages with comfort and confidence.

As of Saturday, March 12th, we will continue to the next stage of our reopening plan which will include the relaxing of the physical distancing requirements and thus increasing our capacity limits.

January 2022 Church Capacity Restrictions Update

Indoor religious services and ceremonies are limited to 50 per cent capacity and physical distancing of two meters which limits our indoor Church capacity to about 215 parishioners. The following protocol is also still in effect: Masks or face coverings are required indoors, and to attend Church services, you must be free of COVID-19 symptoms, and have not been in contact with any individual diagnosed with COVID-19.

    July 16th 2021 Church Capacity Update

    We are in Step 3 of Ontario Reopening which removes indoor percent restrictions for religious services and ceremonies however physical distancing of two meters is still required limiting our indoor Church capacity to about 225 parishioners.

    Church Opening Update

    Dear faithful parishioners,

    We are in Step 2 of Ontario Reopening as of Wed June 30 which allows 25% in places of worship (177 persons in our Church). We open at 8:15 a.m. on Sundays and 8:45 am the remaining days.  

    Parishioners may enter our church until our capacity of 25% attendance (177) has been reached including clergy, staff and volunteers.  Please wait at the church entrance for a council member to guide you into the church.

    • Use hand sanitizer at entrances and exits.

    The Ontario Government announced the reopening of Churches effective Friday June 11, 2021, to allow indoor religious services at 15% capacity.

    On Sunday, June 13th, 2021 our Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will re-open at 8:15 a.m. Parishioners may enter our church until our capacity of 15% attendance (107) has been reached including clergy, staff and volunteers.  Please wait at the church entrance for a council member to guide you into the church.

    The following key measures are still in effect:  

    • Always ensure physical distancing of two meters,
    • Masks or face coverings are required indoors, and
    • Use hand sanitizer at entrances and exits.

    Holy Week Remaining Services

    As of Monday April 19, the Ontario Government announced the following measures, only 10 people may be inside the Church at any one time for all Services.  For all services, please remain in your vehicles until a Church volunteer directs you to enter the Church. You are not allowed inside to attend the service however when directed, you may come in briefly to pray, light your candle or take Holy Communion.

    Holy Communion will be offered at the conclusion of all Divine Liturgies on Holy Week, following Agape Vesper Service (May 2nd) and at all the Bright Week Divine Liturgies. You will be directed by a volunteer

    The Holy Light will be offered at the Saturday Resurrection Service. Please remain in your vehicles. A volunteer will bring the Holy Light to you. The Holy Light will also be available during Bright Week Divine Liturgies.
