Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community of London and Vicinity is proud to have an active Greek dancing organization. You may have seen our dancers perform at our annual Greek OPA Festival. This group has been part of our community since the 1970’s in various stages and ages groups. Our youth have enjoyed watching and participating in these groups.
Throughout the past 30 years, over hundreds children have learned the folk dance tradition of their ancestral homeland. Our dance groups perform each year at the annual OPA Greek festival, and have traveled across South Western Ontario in support of many Greek Festivals for our fellow communities and organizations.
The London Greek Dance Program is an ongoing organization functioning under the umbrella of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Community of London and Vicinity.
- This dance organization is led by an appointed Liaison from the Board of Directors.
- The Liaison also acts as the Dance Director for the various dance groups.
- Each dance group consists of grade levels related to age and not to dance ability. A dancer will not be allowed to participate in practices or performances out of his or her age group. The placement, therefore, of a dancer is dependent on his or her current age and is structured under the following membership guidelines:

Our Season begins with practices in September to prepare for various Community performances. Most groups practice once a week for 1 and a half hours. Practice days may increase to twice or three times a week as determined by the director in collaboration with the instructors.
There will be a break from practice in between Christmas and New Year. Practice will resume in January until the OPA Festival in June.
We are always looking for new dance group members.
Come on out and join in on the fun!
