Arion Choir

It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to his name
…. Psalm 92:1

We invite you to join the Arion Choir of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in London.Although the focus is the study and presentation of sacred music, quality secular and traditional folk music in Greek and English is also encompassed into our repertoire. Christmas carols, kalanda and diverse music in Greek and English are performed in concerts throughout the year. These take place in seniors’ residences such as Chelsea Park, Glendale, Middlesex Terrace, Mount Hope among many others. Concerts are also given in the church hall at various times with donations that have been given to Robarts School for the Deaf, Wellspring Cancer Centre and Merrymount Children’s Centre. In addition, a donation of $10,000 was given to the church from the choir through a sing-a-thon.
Get Involved

The choir is comprised of women and men from ages 18 to 82 who are dedicated and willing to learn and work together. Vacancies are always available. No musical experience required.  Practices are every second Thursday from 7:15 to 8:45 P.M. in the balcony of the church and then we sing every second Sunday and on special days such as Christmas, Easter, Pentecost. Sunday church services for the choir begin at 9:45 A.M.

Gowns have been purchased by each member and remain the church’s property when one leaves the choir for whatever reasons. A choir book has been designed with the appropriate music by the choir director and in turn, the choir sings A Capella although a keyboard is used at times for clarity of tone.  All expenses for books, paper and incidentals are donated by the choir members themselves.

We welcome new members

as brothers and sisters in the service of our Lord. Your gift of being a choir member contributes approximately a minimum of 150 hours of volunteer time yearly which is equivalent to one week throughout the year!!!
