For more information contact:

H.O.P.E. (Holy Orthodox Primary Education) ministers to children from Preschool to Grade 2. Children with their families join in on the opportunity about our Greek Orthodox faith in a social and creative way. At this young and impressionable age it is important that the parents show their children what it means to be Greek Orthodox from both a religious and cultural perspective.

The first HOPE organization in London was established in 1998 and quickly reached 50 children in 2000 and continues today to be vital part of youth program.

HOPE typically meets once a month in our Church hall: The following is a sample calendar year of events:

  • October – Harvest Fest Celebration
  • November – Blessingsr
  • December – Birthday party for Jesus
  • January – Meaning of baptism
  • February – Friendship
  • March – Meaning of Lent
  • May – Virgin Mary and Mothers Day
  • June – Year End picnic

Come out and take part in this group and let the children learn about our Orthodox faith and culture in a fun and safe way. Let them get to know Father and become comfortable with church.

JOY  &  GOYA

Greek Orthodox Youth of America:    JOY (Gr. 2 – Gr. 5),    Jr. GOYA (Gr. 6-8)  ,    GOYA (High School)
For more information contact:

G.O.Y.A. (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) is a ministry to teenagers (ages 13-18) of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Toronto (Canada). The youth ministry is based on the four characteristics of Liturgia (worship), Koinonia (fellowship), Diakonia (service) and Martyria (witness). Activities are therefore planned to incorporate these characteristics.

The purpose of the G.O.Y.A. is to help our youth actively live an Orthodox Christian life, and serve as a means to develop their lives, faith and morals. They learn to exercise leadership abilities such as public speaking, planning, delegation and working with people. A couple of retreats are held each year. Through the spiritual retreats the GOYAns enjoy a special time together for a change of pace, fellowship, reflection, growth, and bonding as community of faith. Regular social events and fund raisers are also planned throughout the year to increase group interaction and fellowship.

The first London GOYA was formed in 1956 and continues to be an integral part of our Youth program.

GOYA has regular monthly meetings that consists of opening prayer, organizing events, social activities, and discussion topics based on the requests & needs of the group. Snacks and refreshments are served. The meetings usually take place in the Church Hall.
